Cresancia Rafanan:

The above photo of Cresancia was taken fourteen years ago in Hong Kong.
The baby in the picture is now a teenager who has just started boarding school in another country.  Cresancia is now hoping to find a family in Canada looking for a long-term nanny.

Cresancia's 18 years of experience started with in Hong Kong with So Pui Fun.  She looked after the family's only child, a boy, from the age of two months until he was four years old.  She established a feeding routine for the baby and took care of him while his parents were at work.  Mrs. So eventually decided to stop working to stay home with her son.

In a reference letter he wrote for Cresancia, Mr. So said:

"She has been working in my family since January 1990 until January 1994.  She has taken care of my only child since he was two months old and I appreciate her services very much.  With high esteem and regards I therefore recommend her in her her search for new employment. She has been tested and has been very good."

Cresancia's next position was with Gloria Yau Mun Yu in Hong Kong.  Again, Cresancia's main responsibility was looking after one boy.  She spent the next fourteen years with this family and watched their son grow up.  Her duties included feeding the baby, doing the housework, cooking, laundry and looking after a Golden Retriever puppy (the dog is now 15 years old).

As the boy grew, Cresancia's duties evolved to include packing his school bag, walking him to and from the bus stop and taking him to extracurricular activities.  Cresancia says she enjoys playing badminton, swimming and going to the beach with the children under her care.

Cresancia is an excellent cook who specializes in Chinese and Filipino dishes.  She lists steamed chicken & fish, sweet and sour spare ribs, stir fried vegetables, curried chicken and fried fish as her specialties.  She can follow any recipe and says she looks forward to learning new Western dishes.  She says she considers cooking dinner an essential part of her role in helping working parents.

Cresancia is single and has a 21 year old son.  She enjoys reading books and watching television in her spare time.  She does not have any allergies and is okay with all types of pets.  

She is willing to work anywhere in Canada.
