Leonila Escano:  HIRED

We first met Leonila during a recruiting trip to Hong Kong on Mother's Day.  She immediately stood out as a nanny who would fit in perfectly with an average Canadian family.  She loves children and has a gentle, wide-eyed, accomodative personality.

Before moving to Hong Kong, Leonila worked in Taiwan for Dr. Shyh-Shyan Lin (Sam) between April, 2000 and July 2007.  When we called Sam to ask about Leonila's performance during her eight years with his family, he gave her a glowing recommendation.

"I think she is great!  Her main job was taking care of my twin daughters who were one year old when she started.  She also took care of my three year old son. She was wonderful with the children."

Sam also said Leonila has a quiet personality and is meticulous when it comes to her work. "When I asked her to do something like cleaning it was always completed down to the last detail.  I was very happy with the job she did for us."

Sam describes Leonila as an excellent cook when it comes to Chinese food and says she is always willing to learn new dishes.  Leonila says her specialties include Chinese & Filipino food, spaghetti, hamburgers, pancakes,  salads and cakes.  She is now studying Western cook books to prepare for her move to Canada.

Leonila is active and enjoys jogging and biking in her spare time.  She also likes reading the newspaper.  She loves pets and says dogs are her favourite.

She is willing to work anywhere in Canada.  

Leonila has three children.  Her son is 20 years old and her daughers are twelve and fourteen. In addition to her experience with her own kids Leonila has eight years of experience with babies.
