Josephine Cruz Garcia:  HIRED

Josephine Garcia has that elusive "X Factor" that immediately makes her stand out from other nannies.  She is always wearing a big smile, is enthusiastic and is an absolute pleasure to deal with.  

We were not surprised to find out that Josephine has been with her current employer for almost ten years.  She started working in Hong Kong in the summer of 2000 and her boss has repeatedly offered her new contracts since then.

Josephine currently looks after two children who are two and nine years old.  Josephine has been with the eldest (pictured above) since she was an infant and shares a close bond with both of the children. She packs their school lunches, takes them to and from the school bus and spends time playing with them.  She also takes care of all of the housework, cooking and grocery shopping.

Before moving to Hong Kong in 2000, Josephine worked for Ms. Mila Ebuen in the Philippines.  Mila had five small children at the time and hired Josephine to look after the youngest child.  When we called to ask about Josephine's performance Mila immediately started raving about her former nanny's skills as a caregiver.

"She has a loving personality and was always very kind to my children.  I felt confident leaving the small kids with her. My girl calls her "Big Sister" and she was crying when Josephine left.  We did not want to lose her but her visa was approved for Hong Kong so we had to find someone to fill her shoes."

"She is very clean and follows instructions well.  I liked her because when the little one was sleeping she would help the other nanny with housework and chores.  I never had to ask her - she would just pitch in and help.  She works very well with other people."

Josephine is not allergic to any pets and she is willing to work anywhere in Canada.
