Jennifer Tejada:  HIRED

Jennifer Tejada is just one of those nannies you know any family would love.  She is sweet and polite, with the experience and skills that make her a real catch in the nanny department.

We'll start with her work experience.  Jennifer worked for Timothy Keung for ten years - from 1993-2003.  In a reference letter, Timothy said: " (Jennifer) is not merely a domestic helper to keep and maintain our house and prepare food for us, she also acts like a sister and teacher to my son. She coaches and teaches him things that are not taught in school.  To us, she is just like a friend to me and my wife." 

Timothy also describes Jennifer as being honest, loyal, hardworking and able to handle problems independently when left alone at home.  He says her cooking skills are "marvelous."

Jenny then worked with Helen Fielding for two years in Singapore.  We spoke with Helen on May 20, 2008 and asked about Jennifer's performance.  Here are some excerpts from that discussion.

"I could not recommend her highly enough.  She is trustworthy, honest and hardworking.  She was great with my four kids and was always good about giving us privacy when we needed it.  She is a very gentle, very nice person."

"I am a real foodie and as soon as I discovered she was a natural cook I sent her out for several cooking classes.  She has been trained on how to cook Thai, English, Middle Eastern and Italian food.  She did one course that concentrated on how to prepare fish.  She also bakes cookies, muffins and children's birthday cakes."

Helen has also provided a glowing reference letter for Jennifer and says she welcomes phone calls or e-mails from Canadian employers.

In addition to all of the qualities listed above, Jenny has a diploma in hair styling and specializes in kids' hair cuts.  She has always cut the hair of the families she works with.

Jennifer is single and has a 17 year old son.  She enjoys swimming and reading books in her spare time.

She is willing to work anywhere in Canada.
